Hi 5 Sight Words Card Game[Set1]

Engage the little ones in Family Game night with this card game that is educational, but most of all FUN! This game provides an interactive way to learn sight words! It also integrates some Mathematical concepts such as colours, numbers and addition. Your child will not even know that he or she is learning!

::How 🔆to🔆 Assemble:::

Print the document on US Letter paper (8 1/2" x 11" paper). You may also print on card stock for a more durable game card. Each paper holds 2 games cards. After printing, cut the cards. Fold it in half so that on one side has the card cover and the other side has the sight word. Apply an adhesive of your choice ( I just used liquid paper glue) to bind the card together. You may decide to laminate it. I just used the clear self adhesive rolls since I did not have enough clear tape on hand. That's it! you are ready to play!

::How 🔆to 🔆Store::

Option 1: Use a clear zip lock bag. Print the Game Cover on a self adhesive label and stick it on the zip lock bag.
Ption 2: Use a plastic lid container. Print the Game Cover on a self adhesive label and stick it on the lid and the bottom of the container.

::How🔆 to Play::

Shuffle the word cards and put them in a face-down stack. The first player draws a card from the stack and reads the word aloud. If he/ she reads the word correctly, he/ she gets to keep the card. The player may shout, “Hi 5!” after reading a card that pairs up (is of the same colour and adds up to 5) with one of the cards in their stack of cards.
If Player A can’t read the word correctly and or pair up cards accurately within a few seconds, an MKO (more knowledgeable other) will go through the Buddy Helper to review and reinforce the correct word with Player A. He/ She loses that turn and Player B takes his/ her turn.
Player B then takes a turn, getting a chance to draw a card, read the word, and goes through the same procedure. Used cards can go to the side to be shuffled and re-used later.
